I just watched the texas chainsaw massacre and i have some serious questions!!!!!?

the 2003 edition. first of all is the police video at the end an actual video or is it made by Hollywood? second is that a real case or is that just made up as well? and if it is based off a true story is the chainsaw guy dead or alive?
