Explain how this fits with the Tea Party claim to restore our freedom?.?

The War on Terror is not a joke. It's a war. And the Patriot Act gives the Commander-in-Chief the powers that he needs to fight it aggressively, at home and abroad. Nearly four-dozen Muslim Americans were arrested/indicted in connection with homegrown terrorist plots in Obama's first year in office. The Tea Party is not afraid to do what must be done.
